Underfoot group exhibition at Workspace Gallery, September 14 - 17, 2011
Underfoot, Bay Area Artists look down. What do we see and feel about this ground we walk over, tunnel under, drink of, dig up, eat from, rely on and so often disregard? The artists in Underfoot respond to the land beneath our feet.

Airshare. I was invited to participate in a barter and meet up event. I ran a workshop where I showed people how to make their very own cardboard wallets. Thank you Aribnb!

Art on First Street, Napa California.
I am showing a piece up in Napa as part of their pilot art in storefronts program. My piece "Lowest Prices in Town" is located in the former Merrill’s drug store, which for many years, was a central stop in downtown Napa’s once vibrant shopping district. The piece speaks to the fragility of commerce, a lost neighborhood history as well as the possibility for change.

Ongoing collaboration:
"Is it far La Mer?" ("Are We There Yet?") a project with Theatre a l'Envers, Rennes FRANCE Traveling from New york to California, a group of French artists set out to explore the United States, collecting impressions, sound, video and interviews along the way. Upon arriving in California, the group developed a makeshift installation and performance using the back of a Ford SUV for a stage.

Artist Kathryn Kenworth created sculpture and environement and singer/songwriter Julie Sellier combined sounds and music written on the road. Part road show, part musical theater, part art installation, "Are we There Yet?" considers utopias and idealizations within the context of natural and constructed worlds in search of the "American Dream".

Performed May 05, 2010 in Yosemite National Park and May 08, 2010 in Oakland CA.

Future performances are scheduled to take place in France, 2011. 2009
